Hello, and welcome to my online portfolio.
My name is Hailey Branson, and I am a young journalist with an old fashioned love of newspaper journalism and a determination to expand my knowledge in 21st century multimedia reporting.
I have the benefits of a small-town background mixed with big city experience. I started working professionally in journalism at the age of 15, working on the manual press for my hometown newspaper, The Perry (Oklahoma) Daily Journal, with a circulation of around 3,000.
Since then, I have worked for more than ten different newspapers, from The Oklahoman to to the Houston Chronicle’s Washington bureau to The New York Times.
I am a senior year at the University of Oklahoma, working toward a bachelor of arts in journalism and a minor in economics. I returned to school in August after completing a summer Dow Jones copy editing internship with The New York Times.
Please feel free to browse through my portfolio to see a variety of writing and multimedia clips I have produced over the years.
